Kate is doing GREAT - we are on track for a Sunday discharge :0) Her platelet count is up to 66,000 and she is off oxygen!!!! They had to put in a new IV, so they took the one out of her head and she will have the ultrasound on her brain later today to just double check that she doesn't have any bleeding in the brain (she doesn't have any symptoms of bleeding, but we just want to be sure because her platelet count dropped so low). For those who don't know, platelets are what clump together to stop bleeding, so when your count is low you are at risk for heavier bleeding and for spontaneous internal bleeding. We'll let you know how the ultrasound goes. Thanks for all your continued love and prayers in our behalf - we know they are helping!!!! We can't wait to take our little girl home!!!!!
